SMT is surface mount technology, is the most popular welding technology in the electronic assembly industry and extremely stable and mature process. It is a pinless or short lead surface assembly components (referred to as SMC / SMD) mounted on the surface of the printed circuit board or other substrates on the surface, through the reflow soldering wave soldering and other methods to be welded to the assembly of the circuit assembly technology.

In general, we use electronic products are designed by the PCB plus a variety of capacitors, resistors and other electronic components according to the design of the circuit diagram, so all kinds of electrical appliances need a variety of different SMT (SMD) and (DIP) plug-in processing technology to process.

Our Capabilities

LST provides complete PCB SMT services to our customers. Our production plant is equipped with 8 fully automated high-speed SMT production lines, using the most advanced SMT assembly equipment including automatic board loading machines, automatic solder paste printers, SPI solder paste thickness testers, multi-temperature zone reflow soldering machines, AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) equipment, x-ray inspection machines, bake-off machines, and stencil cleaners, etc. We are able to meet our customers’ specific SMT assembly requirements to the fullest. We are able to meet the specific SMT assembly requirements of our customers to the greatest extent possible.

Production capacity

Production lines: 8 automatic fast SMT PCB assembly lines. Production capacity: 52 million placements per month. Maximum board size:680 x 500mm Minimum:0.25 inches x 0.25 inches Minimum Assembly Size:0201-54 sq. ft. mm (0.084 sq. ft. in.), long connector, CSP, BGA, QFP Speed:0.15 sec/chip, 0.7 sec/QFP PCB type:single-layer, multilayer, single sided, double-sided, rigid, flexible, rigid-flex combination, HDI, high frequency PCBA, etc. Applicable fields:Medical equipment, aerospace, 5G base station, Internet of Things, new energy self-driving cars, etc.

Quality Assurance

We have a strict quality management system and every process is tested by quality personnel. Equipped with 6 electronic engineers, we constantly put forward constructive improvement suggestions on DFM processability and engineering flow to effectively improve product quality and overall production efficiency.

SMT assembly process

1.screen printing: its role is to solder paste or patch adhesive leakage printed to the PCB pads, for the welding of components to prepare. The equipment used for screen printing machine (screen printing machine), located in the forefront of the SMT production line.

2. dispensing: it is the glue drops to the fixed position of the PCB board, its main role is to fix the components to the PCB board. The equipment used for the dispensing machine, located at the forefront of the SMT production line or the back of the detection equipment.

3. mounting: its role is to accurately install the surface assembly components to the fixed position of the PCB. The equipment used for the placement machine, located in the SMT production line behind the screen printing machine.

4. curing: its role is to melt the patch adhesive, so that the surface assembly components and PCB board firmly bonded together. The equipment used for the curing furnace, located in the SMT production line in the back of the mounter.

5. reflow soldering: its role is to melt the solder paste, so that the surface assembly components and PCB board firmly bonded together. The equipment used for the reflow oven, located in the SMT production line behind the placement machine.

6. cleaning: its role is to assemble the PCB board above the harmful welding residues such as flux removed. The equipment used for the cleaning machine, the location can not be fixed, can be online, or not online.

7. detection: its role is to assemble a good PCB board for welding quality and assembly quality testing. The equipment used are magnifying glass, microscope, online tester (ICT), flying pin tester, automatic optical inspection (AOI), X-RAY inspection system, function tester and so on. Location according to the needs of the test, can be configured in the production line in the appropriate place.

8. rework: its role is to detect the failure of the PCB board rework. The tools used for the soldering iron, rework workstations and so on. Configured in any position in the production line.
